Cuba: Havana without water and electricity

Description : On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Jesus Maria neighborhood in Havana is once again plunged into darkness following a widespread outage of the national electrical system. This blackout has paralyzed the pumping stations, depriving the residents of Centro Habana of running water for over 20 days. Although water flows intermittently in the main network, the lack of electricity prevents its distribution to the homes, forcing the population to rely exclusively on tankers and public water points for their supply.
