Description : On Wednesday afternoon, in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, a woman armed with a knife was shot dead by police during an intervention. She died on the spot. According to the initial elements released by the Paris public prosecutor’s office, which still need to be verified, police were called to a restaurant following a report about a woman showing signs of dementia. The officers on the scene said the woman had lunged forward with a knife and attacked an officer. Several shots were then fired, resulting in the woman’s death. The incident occurred on Rue de Wattignies at around 5 p.m.
