Fire in Var: Firefighters are battling the flames

Description : The fire at Gros Bessillon, in the Var, has now spread over 1,500 hectares, the prefecture announced in an updated situation report. Firefighting operations are continuing with an exceptional deployment in an attempt to contain the spread of the flames and protect local populations. Nearly 1,500 firefighters, supported by 400 vehicles, three drones from the SDIS, 105 gendarmes, and the armed forces remain mobilized on the ground.
