High school blockade: students defy the ban on demonstrations in Paris

Description : High school and university students marched through central Paris this Tuesday despite the prefectural ban on demonstrating there. The authorized route was on the outskirts, between the Porte de Charenton and Porte de Montreuil. Quickly blocked by police, they were pushed back with police charges and tear gas before being allowed to go to Place de la Sorbonne and Rue d’Ulm under police escort.
