Aquariums in the Lille metro contested by petitions

Description : Aquariums are installed on the platforms of Montebello metro station in Lille. Fish trapped underground, without natural light, exposed to the noise and vibrations of the metro all day. The PAZ association is sounding the alarm and demanding their immediate removal. Over 16,000 people have signed their petition for these animals to be placed in suitable shelters. For animal rights activists, these aquariums send a dangerous message: that fish are nothing more than decorative objects.
